Black History even set for Saturday at Bradfield

LIMA — A special program, Black History Month, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bradfield Community Center. St..

Educators, ministers and performers will be taking part. The event is being put on by the Civil Rights Committee of UAW Local 176 in collaboration with the Lima Chapter of the NAACP.

Among those participating will be Minister Veronica McLaurine, Minister Cathy Munday, Prophet Cedric Wright, Angel Cowan, Emmanuel Curtis, Sharetta Smith and Carla Thompson.

Tributes will be paid to Anita Baker, Chaka Khan and James Brown. There will be traditional African dancing.
