GLR invests in Putnam economic development

OTTAWA — The Greater Lima Region on Tuesday announced its latest community investment, this time in the Putnam County Community Improvement Corp. to support economic development projects in that community.

“The PCCIC is focused on business attraction, workforce development and community improvement projects in Putnam County,” said Doug Olsson, president and CEO of GLR. “We’re pleased to support their efforts and believe this investment will further their operational plans and provide resources to aid their efforts.”

In a statement Tuesday, PCCIC Economic Development Director Amy Sealts said she is excited to work with GLR to chart a “dynamic regional approach” to meet the area’s workforce and development issues.

The GLR has invested in regional projects and economic development organizations since Olsson took over as president last summer.

“Building collaboration across our region is a key strategy in competing for economic growth opportunities,” Olsson stated in a press release Tuesday. “Working together with organizations such as PCCIC strengthens our efforts.”
