LIMA — A hit-skip accident involving a vehicle hitting a utility pole and fleeing the scene occurred Thursday night, and officials hope to find the driver of the vehicle.
According to Adrian Ramirez, a Lima Police Department patrolman, at 11:13 p.m. Thursday, a man driving a 2019 grey Chevy Silverado struck a telephone pole on the northwest corner of the intersection of North Street and Jameson Avenue.
The vehicle struck the pole with the vehicle’s right-front bumper. A nearby resident advised hearing a loud noise and came outside and saw a Hispanic male wearing blue pants and a white shirt and bleeding from his chin as he exited the vehicle.
The male continued to walk westbound on Cole Street. The incident is under investigation by Lima police.
