WAC is a 24-hour fitness center that has found great success over the past 10 years in downtown Wapakoneta on Auglaize Street. The Dixie Highway is a new state of the art facility that is much larger in size and strategically located near I-75. Rebecca Manger, owner and entrepreneur, has been a personal trainer for over ten years. While her goal has always been helping others, her love is creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, encouraged and energized. She wants each and every person who comes to WAC to leave feeling that they are a part of the WAC family structure.
The new entrance greets you with healthy food options such as Livie Juice and Lima’s Finest Food Company. These businesses are partnering at WAC to provide a full-circle of healthy opportunities that can turn a good day into a great day.
The largest area gives members an excellent northern view toward the Auglaize River. In between the building and the river is a nice stretch of land that has great potential for outdoor yoga classes, fun runs, obstacle courses, aerobics classes—the possibilities are endless. On the southern wall are roomy showers/restrooms and an infrared sauna where guests can sit to detox and recoup muscles. Other benefits to infrared exposure include better sleep, weight loss and better circulation and general relaxation.
The facility also offers several other work out rooms as well as a staff of physical therapists through partners at Back on Track Physical Therapy. One workout room is designed for energized movement and upbeats rhythms while the other is zen-like, designed for a more medicinal exercise experience like yoga and recovery. There is a sauna room as well. All of the rooms throughout WAC have an industrial texture, painted with soft tones under a framework of strength and purpose, much like the bodies and minds of the WAC family members.
