LIMA — A Dayton man will be sentenced Feb. 20 after unexpectedly agreeing to a plea deal with prosecutors Tuesday.
Joseph Archie Jr., 48, made an unscheduled appearance in Allen County Common Pleas Court and pleaded guilty to an amended charge of gross sexual imposition.
Archie was indicted by a grand jury in January 2018 for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a person he knew to be between the ages of 13 and 16, a third-degree felony. The alleged act took place on or about June 13, 2012, according to the indictment.
Archie was scheduled to stand trial next month.
