Delphos school bus hits car, 2 injuries reported


DELPHOS — A Delphos school bus struck a vehicle pulling out from a private drive Tuesday night, causing minor injuries.

According to a report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the school bus, driven by Drew Wertenberger, 46, of Delphos, was traveling west on 5th Street in Delphos when a 2015 Buick Encore, driven by Earline Williams, 85, of Delphos, turned right out of a private drive in front of the incoming vehicle.

Williams and her passenger, John Williams, 87, were transported with minor injuries to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Wertenberger, his passenger Deborah Stetler, 59, and the 15 students on the bus returning from a middle school girls basketball game claimed no injuries at the scene.
