DELPHOS — For the second time in recent weeks, officials at Delphos City Schools were made aware of a possible threat being made over social media in reference to a Delphos Jefferson High School student possibly committing an act of violence directed at the high school.
According to a statement from Doug Westrick, superintendent of Delphos City Schools, at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday a threat was discovered by high school students. School officials were alerted, and the Delphos Police Department was contacted.
According to Westrick, the student in question was detained and searched, as were all belongings in the student’s locker.
Delphos police came to the conclusion the report was not a credible threat, and there was no access to weapons at home.
