Lima police arrest man in two robberies, investigate another incident


LIMA — Lima police are investigating the robberies of three businesses.

On Friday shortly before 8 p.m. officers were called to the CVS Pharmacy, 900 Bellefontaine Ave. A white man entered the business, acting as if he had a gun and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

On Saturday shortly before 9 p.m. officers responded to another robbery at Little Caesars Pizza, 216 Calumet Ave. Once again, a white man entered the business, acting as if he had a gun and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

The suspect in both robberies has been identified as Jason Gannon, and he was taken into custody.

A third robbery occurred Saturday just before 9:30 p.m. when officers went to Bella Notta’s Pizza, 662 S. Main St. Two black men entered the business, both brandishing handguns. The suspects ordered employees to the ground, and an employee was ordered to open the cash register. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
