Hardin County SWAT team seizes drugs, guns in home search


KENTON — Three males were taken into custody on drug-related charges Thursday following the execution of a search warrant by members of the Hardin County Crime Task Force.

According to Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart, task force members were acting on information developed during an ongoing investigation into illegal activity when they executed the warrant at a residence at 4679 Hardin County Road 95 in Washington Township.

Officers seized quantities of marijuana, cocaine, firearms, drug paraphernalia and more than $14,000 in cash, Everhart said.

In addition to the three males taken into custody, charges are pending on two other occupants of the home. No names were released by the sheriff.

The Task Force was assisted at the scene by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the Hardin County Special Response Team, Hardin County Children’s Services and the Hardin County Dog Warden.
