47th annual Christmas Tree Festival at Allen County Museum planned


47th annual Christmas Tree Festival: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 4, 5 and 7; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6; and noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 8, Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima.

LIMA — The 47th annual Christmas Tree Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, Thursday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 7; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St.

Special events include Ann Miller reading “The Polar Express” Dec. 6 and 8; live entertainment by community groups and Lima schools art exhibit in Folsom Auditorium; Evergreen, the talking tree; demonstrations of woodcarving and rug hooking Dec. 7 and 8; holiday shopping opportunities from Little Children’s Shoppe, Bake Shoppe, Holiday Boutique and Gifts from the Earth; digital photos with the family available for purchase; fingerprint plaque decorating in the changing gallery; and children’s activities in the Children’s Discovery Center themed around the exhibit, “Christmas and New Year’s in Japan.”

The festival is presented in partnership with Church Women United and Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks District.
