Lima man charged in connection with robberies at downtown gas station

LIMA — Lima police have taken a suspect into custody in connection with robberies at a downtown gas station.

Calvin McGhee, 41, faces two preliminary counts of suspicion of aggravated robbery. The charges stem from robberies that police say occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 20 and Nov, 3 at the Rich Gas Station, 792 N. Main St.

Police say that at approximately 5:17 a.m. Sunday a black male entered the Rich gas station and demanded money. No weapon was observed, and the suspect did not obtain any cash. He fled the station.
