LIMA — A Lima man was transported to an area hospital Monday afternoon after suffering what police described as non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
According to a statement from Sgt. Jason Garlock of the Lima Police Department, officers responded at 1:33 p.m. Monday to 1214 Catalpa Ave. in Lima in reference to a possible shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found Demontra Porter, 27, outside the residence. The man had sustained two gunshot wounds to his torso and was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment, according to the statement.
