COLUMBUS — House Bill 197 has cleared the Ohio House.
The “Tax Code Streamlining and Corrections Act” makes more than 100 changes updating laws governing taxation.
“Each year the state legislature enacts dozens or more additions or changes to the laws of Ohio,” said State Representative Bob Cupp (R-Lima). “When the law changes, it can make some parts of existing law obsolete or unclear in meaning, if not corrected.”
The bill now heads to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
