Juvenile Court Administrator Berlin Carroll and Detention Director Chad Overs will be conducting the tours. At an investment of $7 million, the new 20,000 square foot facility replaces the 1975 facility on Wardhill Avenue. About half of the construction costs were covered by a state grant. The new center offers multiple classrooms, holding cells, counseling rooms, a gym, medical office and laundry plus administrative offices and an outside green space.

The public is invited to join League of Women Voters for this educational tour.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and public policy through education and advocacy on issues of community interest. The League is a grassroots organization with membership open to everyone.
