Bluffton University hosting high school math competition


High school math competition: 9 a.m. to noon, Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall, Bluffton University. Register bluffton.edu/math/contest.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University’s mathematics department will host its annual math competition for high school students from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall, 1 University Drive, Bluffton.

High schools may register up to 15 students at www.bluffton.edu/math/contest by Nov. 5. The competition will consist of short-answer questions covering high school math topics through pre-calculus. Cash prizes and scholarships will be awarded.

A complimentary lunch will be provided for students, teachers and parents. Campus tours can be scheduled that day as well. For more information about the contest, contact Duane Bollenbacher at bollenbacherd@bluffton.edu or Darryl Nester at nesterd@bluffton.edu.
