LIMA — The recently formed Lima chapter of Frontiers International held a regional workshop Saturday in Lima.
According to its website, Frontiers International is a “national non-profit non-sectarian service organization headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The organization’s mission is achieved through service to others and by harnessing the cooperative influence towards solutions to major issues that are civic, social and racial in nature.”
“This organization has been around since 1936. So we had a luncheon and we talked about some of the plans that we plan on doing,” said Derry Glenn, local chapter president.
Members discussed educating kids for the jobs of the future and how to deal with the drug problem.
Members at the fall workshop came in from Canton, Cleveland, Dayton and Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
A spring workshop is also planned for Lima on April 28, 2020.
