WESTMINSTER — A two-vehicle accident on Clum Road near Westminster around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday resulted in non-fatal injuries for both drivers.
Nathaniel C. Dal Polo, 21, of Ada, driving a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, was heading eastbound on Clum Road a quarter-mile east of Brentlinger Road when he drove left of center and clipped a white GMC truck, driven by Donald Fisher, 71, of Harrod. Upon impact, Fisher proceeded to swerve off the road and collided into a tree, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Due to serious injuries, Fisher was transported by Westminster EMS to Lima Memorial Health System. Dal Polo, who was later cited for driving left of center, was transported by Perry EMS to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center for minor injuries.
Drugs are not suspected to be involved in the crash.
