Allen County drops suit against CCAO

LIMA — The Allen County Commission has dropped its proposed restraining order against the County Commissioners Association of Ohio after reaching an internal resolution with the CCAO.

Allen County remains in good standing with the CCAO and has retained its seat on the organization’s liability insurance board, Commissioners Cory Noonan and Jay Begg told The Lima News on Thursday.

Allen County joined eight Ohio counties in filing a preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order against the CCAO last Wednesday to protect the county’s liability insurance coverage, which the commissioners believed was threatened by an internal dispute over the membership of the CCAO’s liability insurance board.
