LIMA — The United Way of Greater Lima announced that it has raised $449,835, or 28% of the group’s $1.6 million campaign goal.
“We are so thankful to all of our companies who run campaigns, individual donors and most importantly, the volunteers it takes to make it all happen,” Carol Russell, 2019 campaign co-chair, said in a press release.
Russell said the group has already hosted 49 workplace campaigns.
“We have started strong and the momentum is on our side, but we need the community’s support to finish this fight,” said Bob Meredith, fellow campaign co-chair. “Our United Way partners and the programs we fund need our support to continue to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community.”
