LIMA — Judy Frisby of Lima, who has written a book based on diaries penned by herself and her incarcerated daughter, Mackenzie Bashman, has announced an upcoming book-signing event.
Frisby will appear at Tc Crew salon in Lima’s Eastgate Plaza from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 26, to sign copies of her book, “The Real Prison Diaries.”
Basham will be available to speak with visitors via a video hookup from the Dayton Correctional Institution.
“The Real Prison Diaries” was released in July by Higher Ground Books and Media is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, and Target. It centers around the conviction of Basham for her role in a string of burglaries in Lima and what Frisby alleges are questionable actions taken by local law enforcement. Basham is currently serving the fifth year of a 14-year sentence at the maximum security prison in Dayton.
The book chronicles the diaries written by Basham and her mother since 2014.
Frisby will also speak on The Isiah’s Hope Project, a nonprofit organization she founded in 2016.
