Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Oct. 10

Kenneth T. Richey, 55, 3295 Sullivant Ave., Apt. L, Columbus, pleaded not guilty to charges of retaliation, violating a protection order and tampering with evidence. Bond was set at $500,000 and a pre-trial was scheduled for Nov. 4.

Richey, who spent 21 years in prison for the death of a two-year-old Columbus Grove girl, was arrested in Franklin County on a warrant issued Sept. 27 for relation against a Putnam County resident. Richey was prosecuted in 1986 on charges of aggravated murder, arson and child endangerment in the death of Cynthia Collins who died in an apartment fire. Richey was convicted and sentenced to death in 1987. His conviction was overturned on appeal due to concerns with how his defense handled the case. Richey then pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and he was credited with time served and released.

Randi L. Drew, 27, 204 Mahoning St., Cloverdale, was found in violation of community control sanctions. She was originally convicted of possession of drugs (heroin). The case was continued for sentencing on Dec. 19 at 8:30 a.m.

Oct. 11

Kali M. Herndon, 28, 1342 W. Cherry St., Bluffton, Ind., pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. She faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 3 p.m. Oct. 24. She was originally charged with aggravated possession of drugs (Methamphetamines).

Oct. 15

Lindsay M. Quintero, 29, 225 N. Orchard Drive, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of property. Sentence: $150 fine.

Taylor R. O’Dell, 20, 3941 Elida Road, Elida, pleaded guilty to driving under non-compliance suspension. Sentence: 30 days jail, $250 fine.

Trisha A. Nienberg, 31, 108 Walnut St., Glandorf, disorderly conduct 50 fine

Oct. 17

Michael J. Couts, 41, 405 Maple St., Dupont, pleaded no contest to operating without a motorcycle license endorsement. Sentence: 180 days jail, 178 days suspended, $250 fine.
