Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, is reopened to traffic following a resurfacing project. Lane closures may be possible this week for finish work. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

Interstate 75 at state Route 65, Lima, will experience shoulder closures in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange. All ramps at the interchange and all four lanes of Interstate 75 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

Interstate 75 southbound between state Route 65 and Breese Road will be restricted to one lane on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd for pavement repair work. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

U.S. 30 at state Route 696, Beaverdam, and at Bentley Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair. All ramps at state Route 696 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, closed Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure is located within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic is unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Bowman Road in Allen County and the Hardin County line in Auglaize County, excluding the community of Westminster, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 117 between Eastown Road and the village of Spencerville will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 196 between state Route 117 and the Auglaize County line, south of the village of Westminster, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

State Route 219 between state Route 66A and Tri Township Road, road closure Nov. 4-8. The official detour is: Westbound: state Route 66 south to state Route 274 west to state Route 364 north to state Route 219. Eastbound: State Route 364 south to state Route 274 east to state Route 66 north to state Route 219.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Interstate 75 southbound to U.S. 68/state Route 15, the flyover exit ramp, will close overnight on Sunday, Oct. 20 for paving. The ramp will close Sunday at approximately 7 p.m. and is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. Monday. Traffic wishing to access U.S. 68/state Route 15 from I-75 southbound will be detoured east onto state Route 12 (W. Main Cross) in the city of Findlay, south on state Route 37 (Main Street), and then directed to continue south to the U.S. 68 interchange with state Route 15, south of Findlay.

Interstate 75 in both directions between state Route 12 and county Road 99, will have shoulder and a lane closures for finish work. Beaver Construction, Canton, serves as the general contractor for the project.

Interstate 75 northbound entrance ramp at state Route 103, Bluffton, will close on Thursday, Oct. 17 for approximately one day for maintenance. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 235 and back to Interstate 75. (see map)

Interstate 75 northbound rest area buildings south of Findlay will be closed for maintenance through approximately Monday, Oct. 21. During the closure, access to the rest area parking lots will be available as will temporary toilet facilities and hand sanitizers. The Interstate 75 southbound rest area project has been delayed until further notice.

U.S. 68, near U.S. 30 and the village of Williamstown, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

State Route 37 between Riverdale School (township Road 155) and Lincoln Highway (county Highway 304), north of the village of Forest, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

HARDIN COUNTY

No projects scheduled.

PUTNAM COUNTY

State Route 189 between county Road 18-R and township Road 17-S, near Vaughnsville, will close on Monday, Oct. 28 for approximately 10 days for the replacement of a culvert. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 634, U.S. 224, state Route 115 and back to state Route 189.(see map) Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

SHELBY COUNTY

State Route 48 between Miami-Shelby Road and Russia-Houston Road, Daily lane closures Sept. 25-Oct. 31 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. One 12-foot lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 30 under U.S. 224, northwest of the city of Van Wert, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 49 between Willshire and U.S. 224, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 49 at East Tully Street within the village of Convoy is now open following building demolition.

State Route 117 between the Mercer County line and the Auglaize County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.
