WWII reenactment event set at Lauer Historical Farm


Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District WWII reenactment event: 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Lauer Historical Farm, 800 Roush Road, Lima. Free. Battles 11 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.

LIMA — Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District will host a World War II reenactment event from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Lauer Historical Farm, 800 Roush Road, Lima.

See American and German soldiers with military equipment and vehicles during scheduled battles that took place in Allen County in 1944. The event is free and open to the public.

Battles are scheduled for 11 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.
