LIMA — Greater Lima Region, Inc.’s MakerFest job fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima.

In its fifth year of tackling local workforce needs, MakerFest 2019 will introduce nearly 1,400 of the region’s most deserving young talent to 100 of the Greater Lima Region’s top employers, and all of the great career opportunities that come with them.
Greater Lima Region, Inc. in partnership with OhioMeansJobs, continues to focus on supporting the region’s workforce needs through MakerFest 2019, an event slated for October 18 & 19. Participation from schools and employers has grown significantly through the years, to the point the event is being moved to the Allen County Fairgrounds for the first time in order to accommodate all the participants.
The goal of MakerFest is to ignite local pride in the world-class businesses that call the Greater LimaRegion home – companies like Lima Memorial Health System, Mercy St. Rita’s, P&G, Ford, Honda, the Lima Tank Plant, Nutrien and others. MakerFest has become an integral part of the local culture as regional businesses and schools from all over Allen and surrounding counties are enthusiastically participating in the event. Five hundred job seekers are expected at the Saturday, October 19 MakerFest Job Fair hosted by OhioMeansJobs, including college students and veterans.
