Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for a pavement resurfacing project. The project also includes repairs on the ramps at the Bluelick Road interchange and on the bridges over Sugar Creek. Lane restrictions will be in place each week from Monday morning to Friday afternoon. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on weekends. Variable speed limit signs will be in place to display the legal, posted speed limit through the work zone. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following ramp closures are associated with the project:

Interstate 75 southbound entrance and exit ramps at Bluelick Road are now open following paving.

Interstate 75 northbound entrance and exit ramps at Bluelick Road will close Monday, Oct. 7, for approximately five days for paving. The ramps are expected to reopen by the evening hours of Friday, Oct. 11. The following detours will be in place:

Interstate 75 northbound entrance ramp from Bluelick Road traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound and the state Route 81 interchange back to Interstate 75 northbound.

Interstate 75 northbound exit ramp to Bluelick Road traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound, the Napoleon Road interchange, and Interstate 75 southbound back to Bluelick Road.

Interstate 75 at state Route 65, Lima, will experience shoulder closures in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange. All ramps at the interchange and all four lanes of Interstate 75 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

U.S. 30 at state Route 696, Beaverdam, and at Bentley Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair. All ramps at state Route 696 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, closed Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure is located within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic is unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Bowman Road in Allen County and the Hardin County line in Auglaize County, excluding the community of Westminster, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 117 between Eastown Road and the village of Spencerville will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 501 between Breese Road and the Auglaize County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Seventh Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Moening Street and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) within the city of Delphos, closed Aug. 12 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Moening Street, Sixth Street, and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) back to Seventh Street. Work is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

State Route 198 between Zerkle Road and Deepcut Road, bridge closure through Oct. 7. The official detour is state Route 198 to state Route 501 to state Route 117 to state Route 198.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Interstate 75 northbound at county Road 99, Findlay, will experience shoulder closures through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange. All ramps at the interchange are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

State Route 103 just east of county Road 183, between the villages of Arlington and Mount Blanchard, is now open following a culvert replacement.

HARDIN COUNTY

No projects planned this week.

PUTNAM COUNTY

The following routes in Putnam County will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for drainage structure cleaning. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 115 between the Allen County line and state Route 15

U.S. 224 between the Van Wert County line and the Hancock County line

State Route 613 between the Paulding County line and state Route 15

County Road 11-J at U.S. 224, just west of the village of Glandorf, is now open following a culvert replacement.

Township Road 13 at state Route 694, just west of the village of Glandorf, closed Monday, Oct. 7, for approximately three days for a culvert replacement. Township Road 13 is closed on the north side of its intersection with state Route 694. State Route 694 remains open to through traffic. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

SHELBY COUNTY

State Route 48 between Miami-Shelby Road and Russia-Houston Road, Daily lane closures Sept.25-Oct. 31 between 7 a,m. and 6 p.m. One 12’ lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

Park Street between Oak Avenue and North Wagner Avenue, bridge closure Oct. 7-Jan. 6. The official detour is: Park Street to Oak Avenue to Michigan Street to North Wagner Avenue to Park Street.

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 127 between the city of Van Wert and the Mercer County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.
