Forum set for Rapid Speed Transportation Initiative findings


Rapid Speed Transportation Initiative finding public meeting: 5 p.m. Oct. 9 at City Council Chambers and 3 p.m. Oct. 24 at Lima Regional Planning Commission.

LIMA — The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission will present initial findings of the Rapid Speed Transportation Initiative at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 in Lima City Council Chambers, 50 Town Square, and 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Lima-Allen County RPC, 130 W. North St., Lima.

The initiative looks at two transportation options, traditional rail and Hyperloop for a faster connection from Chicago to Pittsburgh. The forum will include potential benefits, routes and other information, as well as time for input and feedback from the public and local officials.
