Drugs found, man arrested after search warrant executed in Continental

CONTINENTAL — The Continental Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Tuesday at 401 S. 7th St. in Continental after officers received information of drug activity at the residence and took one man into custody.

According to a statement issued by the Continental Police Department, officers located methamphetamine and other white powdered substances, drug paraphernalia and drug instruments at the residence. Sean Oehler, 41, of Montpelier, was arrested on a felony warrant of out Mercer County. He was scheduled to have an extradition hearing Wednesday in Putnam County Municipal Court.

A female at the residence was also transported by Continental EMS for medical issues.

The investigation is continuing and a file will be turned over to the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office for review of charges.
