LIMA — There’s a new bar on High Street: Zinum 12.
The gastro pub specializes in gourmet bar food — with an extensive offering of burgers and quesadillas along with wraps, steak and salmon.
But the main attraction are the bar games: Each table will feature a board game for patrons to play while dining; a lounge behind the bar features slot games, pool tables, dart boards and cornhole; and patrons can even play shot games with the bartender or server.
Zinum 12 will also introduce popular bar games like Stumped, in which patrons take turns attempting to hammer nails into a stump. And there are plans for live music, dancing and outdoor dining too.
Renovations have been underway for months ahead of the bar’s grand opening Friday, Sept. 27.
Founded by the owners of 12 East, the bar is located in the old Mulligan’s building on High Street to meet demand on the west side of Lima.
“We’ve heard from people on the west side of town that people love the atmosphere, the food (of 12 East) but they wished it was closer to home,” said Devin Muniz, general manager of Zinum 12 who was previously a manager for 12 East on Harding Highway. “We tried to find something centrally located so we could include everybody and be part of the whole revitalization downtown.”
Doors will open at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28.
