Two Van Wert residents arrested on drug charges

VAN WERT — Two Van Wert residents were arrested early Saturday morning for aggravated drug possession.

Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach announced a search warrant was executed at 327 N. Wayne St. in Van Wert, at 1:53 a.m. Saturday. Seven people were found, and five were released from the scene.

Charles Jenkins, 42, and Kendra Keesler , 24, both of Van Wert, were arrested for aggravated drug possession, each a felony of the fifth degree. Both subjects were transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility where they are being held pending an arraignment in Van Wert Municipal Court.

Officials found suspected methamphetamine, an unknown powder, guns, drug paraphernalia, cell phones and cash.
