Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for a pavement resurfacing project. The project also includes repairs on the ramps at the Bluelick Road interchange and on the bridges over Sugar Creek. Lane restrictions will be in place each week from Monday morning to Friday afternoon. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on weekends. Work will continue through early October. Variable speed limit signs will be in place to display the legal, posted speed limit through the work zone. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following ramp closures are associated with the project:

Interstate 75 southbound entrance and exit ramps at Bluelick Road are expected to close Tuesday, Sept. 24, for approximately four days for pavement resurfacing. The ramps are expected to reopen in the afternoon hours of Friday, Sept. 27.

Interstate 75 southbound entrance ramp at Bluelick Road traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound and the Napoleon Road interchange back to Interstate 75 southbound.

Interstate 75 southbound exit ramp at Bluelick Road traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound, the state Route 81 interchange, and Interstate 75 northbound back to Bluelick Road.

Interstate 75 at state Route 65, Lima, will experience shoulder closures in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange. All ramps at the interchange and all four lanes of Interstate 75 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

U.S. 30 eastbound at the state Route 696 interchange, Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

U.S. 30 at state Route 696, Beaverdam, and at Bentley Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for erosion repair. All ramps at state Route 696 are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, closed Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure is located within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic is unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Eastown Road and the village of Spencerville will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 117 between Bowman Road in Allen County and the Hardin County line in Auglaize County, excluding the community of Westminster, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing beginning Monday, Sept. 9. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 117/state Route 309 (Bellefontaine Avenue) between Elm Street and Shawnee Street, within the city of Lima, is now open following work related to a railroad grade separation project under the Indiana & Ohio Railroad. For project information, visit www.golima.org.

Seventh Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Moening Street and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) within the city of Delphos, closed Aug. 12 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Moening Street, Sixth Street, and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) back to Seventh Street. Work is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

State Route 198 between Zerkle Road and Deepcut Road, bridge closure Aug. 5-Sept. 18. The official detour is state Route 198 to state Route 501 to state Route 117 to state Route 198.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Interstate 75 northbound at county Road 99, Findlay, will experience shoulder closures through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange. All ramps at the interchange are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

Interstate 75 between the Allen County line and the city of Findlay will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement joint repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

HARDIN COUNTY

State Route 67 between county Road 115 and township Road 135, southwest of the city of Kenton, is now open following a culvert replacement.

U.S. 68 between township Road 40 and state Route 701, south of the village of Dunkirk, will close Monday, Sept. 30, for approximately three weeks for the replacement of two culverts. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 81, state Route 235, state Route 309, and state Route 701 back to U.S. 68. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 81 between the western village limits of Ada and township Road 55, within the village of Ada, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs being done in preparation for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes installation of curb ramps and concrete sidewalks within the village of Ada. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 235 between the northern village limits of Ada and state Route 309 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs being done in preparation for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes installation of curb ramps and concrete sidewalks within the village of Ada. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 701 between state Route 309 and U.S. 68 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs being done in preparation for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

PUTNAM COUNTY

State Route 65 (Elm Street/Perry Street) between Williamstown Road and 11th Street, within the village of Ottawa, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 108 between Vanbuskirk Street and Railroad Avenue, within the village of Miller City, is now open following railroad crossing repairs.

State Route 115 between state Route 15 and the Allen County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 189 between Rimer and state Route 115 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

U.S. 224 between the village of Ottawa and the Hancock County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 694 between state Route 115 and the village of Glandorf will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 30 under U.S. 224, near the city of Van Wert, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 49 between Wolfcale Road and Monmouth Road, south of the village of Convoy, will close Monday, Sept. 16, for approximately five days for the replacement of two culverts. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 30 and U.S. 224 back to state Route 49. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.
