KALIDA — A man described as having a grey beard driving a red vehicle with a white top was reported by Kalida residents asking kids to get in his car Tuesday.

During a telephone interview Wednesday morning, Scott Mangas, Ottoville Elementary School principal, said one of his teacher’s friends sent her a photo of the vehicle in the Lammers Subdivision in Kalida.

Mangas said the school is working with the Ottoville Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to determine the validity of the report.

Fort Jennings Police Department posted a photo of the vehicle with a description of the driver to its Facebook page Wednesday morning.
