Aug. 29

Michael S. Minch, 36, 22523 Road C, Continental, was granted judicial release. He was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete any counseling and treatment recommended. He must also pay $80 restitution.

Sept. 3

Sharon E. Piper, Columbus Grove, was granted a divorce from Shawn M. Piper, Columbus Grove. They were married April 15, 1989 in Columbus Grove and have no minor children.

Sept. 4

Melissa M. Halker, 40, 2868 Stelzer Road, Columbus, was sentenced to eight months in jail for violating community control. The violations included possessing crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, failing to report to her supervising officer and failing to obtain permission before changing her address. She was given credit for 177 days served. She was originally convicted of possession of drugs (heroin).

Aug. 26

Michael J. Lawhorn, 42, 5300 Road 20, Continental, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentence: $250 fine.

Aug. 29

Nelson E. Barnes, 50, 710 N. Austin, Cameron, Texas, charged with failure to comply, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Sept. 3

Keith D. Eiden, 54, 13268 Road 8M, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless operation. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of turn signals was dismissed.

Emiliano V. Nunez, 36, 18417 Road B-13, Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine.

Ted Sanchez, 41, 25 Vine St., Apt. 15, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to second offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $250 suspended, three-year license suspension, and complete a drug and alcohol assessment. Charges of failure to reinstate license and OVI with refusal were dismissed.

Sept. 4

Aaron L. Hazelton, 30, 16614 Road 4, Pandora, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine.

Sept. 5

Emily M. Birchnaugh, 35, 104 Pearl St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $250 fine and complete a mental health assessment.
