KALIDA — A Kalida man faces three counts of tax evasion after being indicted in federal court on Thursday.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Ohio, Jeffrey J. Blanford, 47, had understated his income by more than $1.7 million.
Blanford is a dentist in Lima and owner of The Hollander on Main in downtown Lima.
According to the indictment, Blanford stated his taxable income for 2013 was $106,972 when it was actually $491,613. In 2014 he said he earned $148,236, but the indictment alleges it was $700,150. In 2015 he reported his earnings were $91,614, when it was actually $899,560.
