Celina man caught with fentanyl faces felony charge

CELINA — A Celina man is facing charges of aggravated possession of drugs following his arrest Friday by the Grand Lake Task Force.

Seth Seals, 27, of Celina, is being held in the Mercer County jail on a $50,000 bond.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports officers with the task force developed information of a possible drug transaction that was about to take place. The suspect was observed by officers on a bicycle and appeared to be impaired.

The task force asked Celina police to stop Seals, and he fled on foot and was observed throwing an item into a dumpster while running away. Seals was caught by officers and the item he threw into the dumpster was a crushed cigarette package that contained 20 capsules of suspected drugs. A syringe was also recovered from Seals’ shorts pocket. The suspected drugs were found to be fentanyl.
