Four injured in Sunday night crash on Lima’s west side

LIMA — Four people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries suffered in a two-car traffic accident Sunday evening.

According to a spokesman for the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a vehicle operated by August Goldman, 18, of Middleboro, Mass., was southbound on Allentown Road at approximately 10:54 p.m. Sunday. While attempting to turn left onto Eastown Road, the vehicle failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a vehicle operated by Nancy Riemesch-Okeefe, 54, of Lima.

A passenger in Okeefe’s vehicle, 17-year-old Laura Johnson, of Lima, suffered serious injuries in the crash, the patrol spokesman said. Another passenger, 17-year-old Lovell Ross, suffered minor injuries. Okeefe also suffered minor injuries, the patrol said.

Goldman suffered minor injuries, and a passenger in his vehicle was uninjured. Goldman was cited for failure to yield.
