LIMA — The American Coin Laundry at 2575 Sharon Place, Lima, was the scene of an armed robbery at approximately 12:50 p.m. Friday.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an employee of the laundry who said a black male entered the business and went directly to the restroom, where he put on a ski mask. After exiting the restroom, the male pointed a handgun at the employee and told her to give him all the money in the establishment. The male was able to get away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The employee was not injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-6 and 175 pounds. He was wearing black pants and a black long sleeve shirt.
