Road construction and maintenance projects


Ohio Department of Transportation Districts 1 and 7



Allen County

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for a pavement resurfacing project. The project also includes repairs on the ramps at the Bluelick Road interchange and on the bridges over Sugar Creek. Lane restrictions will be in place each week from Monday morning to Friday afternoon. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on weekends. Work will continue through early October. Variable speed limit signs will be in place to display the legal, posted speed limit through the work zone. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following ramp closures are associated with the project:

Exit ramp from I-75 southbound to Bluelick Road, Lima, will close Monday, Aug. 19, for approximately two days for ramp repairs. Traffic will be detoured onto I-75 southbound, the state Route 81 interchange and I-75 northbound back to Bluelick Road.

Entrance ramp from Bluelick Road to I-75 southbound, Lima, will close Monday, Aug. 19, for approximately two days for ramp repairs. Traffic will be detoured onto I-75 northbound and the Napoleon Road interchange back to I-75 southbound.

State Route 66 between Kolter Road and Deep Cut Road, just south of the village of Spencerville, closed Wednesday, July 17, for approximately 60 days for the replacement of eight culverts. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 117, state Route 116 and state Route 197 back to state Route 66. Additionally, Kolter Road at state Route 66 will close Thursday, Aug. 15, for approximately seven days for drainage work and pavement repair at the intersection. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon.

State Route 66 between State Road and Landeck Road, south of the city of Delphos, is now open following a culvert replacement.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, closed Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure is located within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic is unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Eastown Road and the village of Spencerville will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 309 between the Allen County Fairgrounds and the Hardin County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes drainage work near the Allen County Fairgrounds. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 696 between the village of Beaverdam and the Putnam County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

First Street over Flat Fork Creek, east of Pierce Street near Delphos St. John’s School, closed June 17 for approximately 45 days for a bridge replacement. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

Third Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Douglas Street and Scott Street within the city of Delphos, closed May 13 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Scott Street, Second Street, and Douglas Street back to Third Street. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

Seventh Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Moening Street and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) within the city of Delphos, will close Monday, Aug. 12, for approximately two months for a bridge replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto Moening Street, Sixth Street, and state Route 190 (Fort Jennings Road) back to Seventh Street. Work is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

Auglaize County

SR 219 between Hardin Pike and Santa-Fe New Knoxville Road, ROAD CLOSURE July 29th – August 2nd. The official detour is: I-75 south to SR 274 west to SR 29 north.

I-75 between SR 219 and US 33, Nightly lane closures April 14th – July 30th between the hours of 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 117 between Fairmount and SR 67, ROAD CLOSURE August 12th – 16th. The official detour is: SR 67 to Sr 196 to SR 117.

Hancock County

State Route 15 eastbound between the city of Findlay to the Wyandot County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

Hardin County

State Route 67 between township Road 119 and county Road 95, west of the city of Kenton, Is now open following a culvert replacement.

State Route 81 and state Route 235 within the village of Ada will be restricted to one lane at times through the work zone for installation of curb ramps and concrete sidewalks. The work is associated with a larger project to resurface state Route 81 and state Route 235 in and around Ada, as well as state Route 701 in its entirety. Resurfacing work is expected to begin in mid-August. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 235 between county Road 20 and township Road 30, north of the village of Ada, will close Monday, Aug. 12, for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 81, U.S. 68 and U.S. 30 back to state Route 235. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 235 near county Road 90 (Shadley Street), within the village of Alger, closed Aug. 1 for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 309, state Route 195 and county Road 110 back to state Route 235. Work is being performed by the village of Alger.

State Route 701 between state Route 309 and county Road 75 closed July 1 for approximately 45 days for the replacement of two bridges. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 309 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 709. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

Putnam County

State Route 15 just north of state Route 613, east of the village of Continental, closed Monday, July 29, for approximately five days for railroad crossing repairs. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 613 and state Route 634 back to state Route 15. Work is being performed by Safety Services Supply.

State Route 613 between the Paulding County line and state Route 15 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement marking placement following a chip seal project. Work is being performed by Aero-Mark, Inc., Streetsboro.

State Route 613 between the village of Leipsic and the Hancock County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement marking placement following a chip seal project. Work is being performed by Aero-Mark, Inc., Streetsboro.

State Route 613 (Main Street) between Ninth Street and 11th Street, within the village of Leipsic, will close Monday, Aug. 12, for approximately three days for sink hole repair. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 109 and state Route 65 back to state Route 613. Work is being performed by the village of Leipsic.

Van Wert County

State Route 116 between the Auglaize County line and Middle Point Road, excluding its overlap with state Route 117, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by The Shelly Company, Findlay.
