Herping is the newest upcoming trend among naturalists throughout the country. What is herping? It’s much like birding, but instead of birds you look for reptiles. The Hancock Park District (HPD) is offering “Go Herping!” at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Discovery Center on Wednesday, August 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. so that you may learn about this fun hobby as well as how you can help local wildlife associations.
