CRIDERSVILLE — The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office and the office of Auglaize County Coroner Dr. Thomas Freytag are investigating the death of a 67-year-old male at a residence east of Cridersville on Tuesday.
According to a statement from Sheriff Al Solomon, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Tuesday deputies were called to the 17000 block of National Road in reference to a deceased person.
The male was found in the house by a friend. The name of the individual was not released, pending all notification to family.
There were no signs of forced entry at the residence, the statement said.
Solomon said his office is investigating the death as it would any other. The coroner’s office was called to the scene and agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation were also at the location. The deceased individual was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s office, where an autopsy will be performed.
“Every death is treated as suspicious until such time as it is determined otherwise,” Solomon said.
The incident remains under investigation.
