Road construction and maintenance projects


Ohio Department of Transportation Districts 1 and 7



ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for a pavement resurfacing project. The project also includes repairs on the ramps at the Bluelick Road interchange and on the bridges over Sugar Creek. Lane restrictions will be in place each week from Monday morning to Friday afternoon. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on weekends. Work will continue through early October. Variable speed limit signs will be in place to display the legal, posted speed limit through the work zone. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following ramp closures are associated with the project:

Interstate 75 northbound entrance and exit ramps at Bluelick Road will close Monday, July 15, for approximately five days. The following detours will be in place:

Interstate 75 northbound entrance ramp traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound and the state Route 81 interchange back to Interstate 75 northbound.

Interstate 75 northbound exit ramp traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound, the Napoleon Road interchange and Interstate 75 southbound back to Bluelick Road.

Interstate 75 southbound entrance and exit ramps at Bluelick Road will close Monday, July 22, for approximately five days. Detour information will be forthcoming.

State Route 66 between Kolter Road and Deep Cut Road, just south of the village of Spencerville, closed Wednesday, July 17, for approximately 60 days for the replacement of eight culverts. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 117, state Route 116 and state Route 197 back to state Route 66. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, closed Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure is located within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic is unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Eastown Road and the village of Spencerville will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 196 between state Route 117 and Madden Road, north of Waynesfield, closed Monday, July 15, for approximately two weeks for the replacement of three culverts. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 117 and state Route 67 back to state Route 196. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 309 between the Allen County Fairgrounds and the Hardin County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes drainage work near the Allen County Fairgrounds. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

First Street over Flat Fork Creek, east of Pierce Street near Delphos St. John’s School, closed June 17 for approximately 45 days for a bridge replacement. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

Third Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Douglas Street and Scott Street within the city of Delphos, closed May 13 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto Scott Street, Second Street, and Douglas Street back to Third Street. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

SR 66 between East First Street and East Second Street, ROAD CLOSED July 15th – 22nd. The official detour is: SR 705 to SR 364 to SR 119.

SR 364 between SR 274 and Lock Two Road, ROAD CLOSED July 15th – 19th. The official detour is: SR 274 to SR 66 to SR 219.

I-75 between SR 219 and US 33, Nightly lane closures April 14th – July 30th between the hours of 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 197 between SR 66 and Buckland Holden Road, Daily lane closure June 6th – July 30th between 6 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 198 between SR 197 and South Defiance Trail, Daily lane closures June 10th – July 19th between 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 219 between Hardin Pike and Santa-Fe New Knoxville Road, ROAD CLOSURE July 29th – August 2nd. The official detour is: I-75 south to SR 274 west to SR 29 north.

SR 364 between Clover Four Road and Southland Road, ROAD CLOSURE July 22nd – 26th. The official detour is: SR 274 to SR 66 to SR 219.

HANCOCK COUNTY

State Route 103 between state Route 698 and township Road 71, between the villages of Jenera and Arlington, closed Monday, June 10, for approximately 45 days for a pavement repair and shoulder widening project. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 235, U.S. 30 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 103. Work is being performed by Helms and Sons, Findlay.

State Route 235 between county Road 313 and the Wood County line, excluding its overlaps with state Route 12 and state Route 186, is currently open without restrictions. A pavement resurfacing project in the area has stopped temporarily but will resume in late July. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

HARDIN COUNTY

State Route 53 between the city of Kenton and the village of Patterson will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is expected to continue through late July. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 67 at township Road 119, west of the city of Kenton, closed Monday, June 3, for approximately 75 days for a culvert replacement. The project also includes the reprofiling of state Route 67 and township Road 119 to enhance sight distance at their intersection. Township Road 119 at state Route 67 is also closed during the project. The following detours are in place. Work is being performed by R & I Construction, Tiffin.

State Route 67 traffic is detoured onto state Route 235 and state Route 309 back to state Route 67.

Township Road 119 traffic is detoured onto township Road 95, township Road 180 and county Road 115 back to township Road 119.

State Route 81 and state Route 235 within the village of Ada will be restricted to one lane at times through the work zone for installation of curb ramps and concrete sidewalks. The work is associated with a larger project to resurface state Route 81 and state Route 235 in and around Ada, as well as state Route 701 in its entirety. Resurfacing work is expected to begin in mid-August. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 235 between the village of Alger and state Route 67 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is expected to continue through late July. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 701 between state Route 309 and county Road 75 closed July 1 for approximately 45 days for the replacement of two bridges. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 309 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 709. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

PUTNAM COUNTY

State Route 15 just north of state Route 613, east of the village of Continental, will close Monday, July 29, for approximately five days for railroad crossing repairs. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 613 and state Route 634 back to state Route 15. Work is being performed by Safety Services Supply.

State Route 613 between the Paulding County line and state Route 15 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for a chip seal project. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 613 between the village of Leipsic and the Hancock County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for a chip seal project. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 634 between Oak Street and Elm Street, within the village of Continental, is now open following railroad crossing repairs.

SHELBY COUNTY

I-75 between CR 25A(Piqua) and SR 219, Nightly lane closures April 14th – July 30th between 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction

SR 29 between McCloskey School Road and SR 706, Daily lane closures June 10th – July 19th between 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 47 between Clear Street and Walnut Street, Daily lane closures May 20th – July 31st between 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

I-75 between SR 274 and SR 219, Daily lane closures July 22nd – August 1st between 9 am and 2:30 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 30 near county Road 418, north of the village of Convoy, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for guardrail repair. Work is being performed by Lake Erie Construction, Norwalk.

State Route 116 between the Auglaize County line and Middle Point Road, excluding its overlap with state Route 117, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by The Shelly Company, Findlay.
