July 5

Rachel R. Bohrer, Fort Jennings, was granted a divorce from Jesse J. Bohrer, Ottawa. They were married Oct. 5, 2013 and have one child.

July 9

Brian O. Rippetoe, 40, 20485 Road G, Continental, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine). He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 4 p.m. July 29. The state is recommending restitution of $150 to the MAN unit. A second count was dismissed.

Sebastian L. Hernandez, 24, 517 W. Main St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (fentanyl). He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. August 8. A motion for treatment in lieu of conviction was denied.

Melanie Stokes, Ottawa, was appointed as a trustee for the Putnam County Free Public Library for a term to expire Dec. 31, 2019. The Common Pleas Court Judge appoints three of the seven members of the board of trustees per the Ohio Revised Code.

July 11

Adan Vasquez, 33, 506 W. Main St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to improper handling of firearm in motor vehicle and OVI. He faces up to 18 months and prison and six months jail, and $6,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentence set for 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19. Charges of receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container were dismissed.

July 12

Jessica L. McClure, 25, 468 Hazel Ave., Lima, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and four counts endangering children. Sentencing was set for 9 a.m. Aug. 15. McClure was charged in connection to the death of her son last November and endangering her other children.

According to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reports, at approximately 5 p.m. Nov. 7, 2018, the sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call claiming an unresponsive child was found at 23090 Road Q, Lot L, in Fort Jennings. The Ottoville EMS and law enforcement were dispatched to that location, and a child was transported to the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center. The child was pronounced dead at the Ambulatory Care Center.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

July 8

Thomas A. Nienberg, 45, 117 Buckeye St., Glandorf, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless operation. Sentence: $150 fine with ALS suspension with privileges. Charges of seat belt and two headlights required were dismissed.

Antoine D. Allen, 37, 360 Rosewood Ave., Apt. 28, Defiance, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension.

July 9

Ernest Gutierrez, 51, 882 N. Defiance St., Apt. B, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 155 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $625 suspended, one-year license suspension with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. Charges of open container, two counts, drug abuse/possession and drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

Lance T. Delgado, 26, 7126 State Route 12, Columbus Grove, pleaded no contest to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. He was also fined $50 for failure to control. Charges of open container, two counts, drug abuse/possession and drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

Charles J. Gillette, 32, 1570 N. Perry St., Lot 66, Ottawa, pleaded no contest to driving under suspension in violation of license restriction and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $150 fine.

July 11

Ronald V. Williams, 28, 506 Wayne St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension.
