LIMA — Jay Herrick, of Lima, owns this 1967 Chevy Impala SS. He drove it to The Westgate Charity Car Show last Sunday.
Unfortunately, a mechanical issue occurred, and he was unable to enter it into the show.
Herrick’s dad was a mechanic his whole life.
“I have none of the mechanical skills he had, but I always just kind of liked the cars,” Herrick said.
The Impala’s body style grabbed Herrick’s eye. The curves and sporty design helped the Chevy Impala be one of Chevy’s highest-selling vehicles.
Herrick’s Impala features a 427 engine and is a four-speed.
His favorite moments in the car include packing the kids up and going to Pete’s for ice cream.
