LIMA — An early morning fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damages to a Lima gas station/convenience store on Thursday.
According to a spokesman for the Lima Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at approximately 5 a.m. to the Circle K business at 2051 N. West St. and found smoke coming from the attic of the establishment. The fire that was contained to the attic area was quickly extinguished.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation but is believed to be electrical. No foul play is suspected.
Damage was estimated at $50,000 to the building and $100,000 to the contents of the store.
The business remains closed at the present time.
