LIMA — The West Ohio Community Action Partnership is offering financial assistance to low- and moderate-income families and property owners to remove lead from their homes. The program is intended for pregnant women and families with young children who may be exposed to lead.
Applicants must reside in a home or apartment build prior to 1978 to qualify and reside in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert or Wood counties, according to WOCAP eligibility requirements. The program also requires renters or property owners keep their property tax payments up-to-date or in an active payment plan. Applicants must show a copy of the previous year’s W2 or tax return, last three pay stubs and all other sources of income to qualify.
