Suspect identified in June 14 shooting death of Lima teen

LIMA — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 20-year-old man sought in connection with the June 14 shooting death of Lima resident Christian Laws.

A statement released Tuesday afternoon by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office said a warrant was issued for Jolade “JoJo” Reginald Omosikeji Jr. for the murder of Laws, whose body was found early that Friday evening in the 2400 block of Lark Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Laws’ body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s office for an autopsy, which concluded his death stemmed from a single gunshot wound, authorities said.

His death was the fourth homicide in Allen County in 2019.

Omosikeji, whose whereabouts are unknown, was described as a black male with black hair and dark eyes.
