Ohio Department of Transportation Districts 1 and 7



ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between state Route 81 and state Route 65, Lima, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for repair of pavement under warranty through early July. Work will take place on the mainline lanes, as well as on the southbound entrance and exit ramps at state Route 81. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction Company, Westerville.

Interstate 75 southbound near state Route 696, Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Fourth Street over Interstate 75, Lima, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Breese Road over Interstate 75, Lima, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

U.S. 30 westbound between Gomer Road and Sandy Point Road will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 66 between Kolter Road and the Auglaize County line, just south of the village of Spencerville, will close Monday, July 15, for approximately 60 days for the replacement of eight culverts. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 117, state Route 116 and state Route 197 back to state Route 66. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon.

State Route 103 (Jefferson Street) over Riley Creek, between Huber Street and Vance Street within the village of Bluffton, will close Monday, July 1, for approximately four months for a bridge replacement. The closure will take place within a larger active work zone for a village water line replacement project, which is already underway between county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street. Local access is maintained throughout the village’s work zone, but traffic will be unable to cross the bridge during the ODOT bridge replacement project. Traffic will be detoured county Road 15 (County Line Road) and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. The bridge replacement project is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.

State Route 117 between Greely Chapel Road and Bowman Road, Lima, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes replacement of curbs, catch basins and crossover drainage pipes. Work is expected to continue through late June. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 198 between state Route 117 and Bice Road, just north of the Auglaize County line, is now open following a culvert replacement.

State Route 309 between the Allen County Fairgrounds and the Hardin County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes drainage work near the Allen County Fairgrounds. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

First Street over Flat Fork Creek, east of Pierce Street near Delphos St. John’s School, closed June 17 for approximately 45 days for a bridge replacement. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

Third Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Douglas Street and Scott Street within the city of Delphos, closed May 13 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto Scott Street, Second Street, and Douglas Street back to Third Street. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. Work is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

SR 198 between Harrison Street and SR 501, Daily lane closure June 6th – 28th between 6 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 198 between SR 197 and South Defiance Trail, Daily lane closures June 10th – July 12th between 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

I-75 between SR 219 and US 33, Nightly lane closures April 14th – June 30th between the hours of 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 197 between SR 66 and Buckland Holden Road, Daily lane closure June 6th – 28th between 6 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 29 between Moulton Angle Road and Southland Road, Daily lane closures May 20th – July 31st between 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 66 between SR 274 and Greenville Road, Daily lane closures May 7th – June 28th between 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

SR 66 between East First Street and East Second Street, ROAD CLOSED July 15th – 22nd. The official detour is: SR 705 to SR 364 to SR 119.

HANCOCK COUNTy

State Route 37 between state Route 15 and township road 166, north of Mount Blanchard, will close Monday, June 24, for approximately three days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 103, U.S. 68 and state Route 15 back to state Route 37. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage. (see map)

State Route 103 between state Route 698 and township Road 71, between the villages of Jenera and Arlington, closed Monday, June 10, for approximately 45 days for a pavement repair and shoulder widening project. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 235, U.S. 30 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 103. Work is being performed by Helms and Sons, Findlay. (see map)

U.S. 224 between township Road 254 and township Road 255, east of Findlay, is now open following a culvert replacement.

State Route 235 between county Road 313 and the Wood County line, excluding its overlaps with state Route 12 and state Route 186, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 235 between county Road 203 and township Road 11, north of McComb, is now open following a culvert replacement.

HARDIN COUNTY

State Route 53 between the city of Kenton and the village of Forest will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm repair through early July. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 67 at township Road 119, west of the city of Kenton, closed Monday, June 3, for approximately 75 days for a culvert replacement. The project also includes the reprofiling of state Route 67 and township Road 119 to enhance sight distance at their intersection. Township Road 119 at state Route 67 is also closed during the project. The following detours are in place. Work is being performed by R & I Construction, Tiffin. (see map)

State Route 67 traffic is detoured onto state Route 235 and state Route 309 back to state Route 67.

Township Road 119 traffic is detoured onto township Road 95, township Road 180 and county Road 115 back to township Road 119.

State Route 81 between the villages of Dunkirk and Patterson will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm repair through early July. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 235 between the villages of Alger and Roundhead will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm repair through early July. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 701 between state Route 309 and county Road 75 will close Monday, July 1, for approximately 45 days for the replacement of two bridges. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 309 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 709. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay. (see map)

PUTNAM COUNTY

There are no major projects expected to affect highways in Putnam County significantly during the week of June 24.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR 29 between McCloskey School Road and SR 706, Daily lane closures June 10th – July 12th between 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

I-75 between CR 25A(Piqua) and SR 219, Nightly lane closures April 14th – June 30th between 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 274 between Sidney-Freyburg Road and Wones Road, Daily lane closures May 18th – June 21st between 7 am and 6 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SR 47 between Clear Street and Walnut Street, Daily lane closures May 20th – July 31st between 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Park Street between Oak Avenue and North Wagner Avenue, BRIDGE CLOSURE July 1st – September 27 The official detour is: Park Street to Oak Avenue to Michigan Street to North Wagner Avenue to Park Street.

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 30 under U.S. 224, near the city of Van Wert, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 81 between county Road 103 (Mendon Road) and Thomas Road, west of the village of Elgin, closed May 6 for approximately 45 days for the replacement of twin culvert structures. The project also includes additional drainage work on each side of the roadway. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 127, state Route 709 and state Route 116 back to state Route 81. Work is being performed by VTF Excavation, Celina. (see map)

State Route 116 between the Auglaize County line and Middle Point Road, excluding its overlap with state Route 117, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.

U.S. 127 (Washington Street) between Jackson Street and Johnson Avenue, within the city of Van Wert, closed Wednesday, June 19, for approximately one day for railroad crossing repair. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 30, U.S. 224, state Route 118 and Fox Road back to U.S. 127. Work is being performed by Safety Services Supply. (see map)

Jefferson Street over Town Creek, between Main Street and Crawford Street within the city of Van Wert, will close in mid-June for a bridge replacement. Details on the closure date and timeframe will be forthcoming. Utility relocation work is currently underway in the area. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Crawford Street, Shannon Street and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Central Avenue, Washington Street and Crawford Street back to Jefferson Street. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Van Wert. Work is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.
