LIMA — The Lima Noon Optimist Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary at the Lima Locos game at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Simmons Field.
There will be special promotions and gifts for the first 100 people to enter the gate. The salute to Optimist International will feature some of the club’s partners in a variety of ways.
The national anthem will be performed by members of the Lima Youth Symphony Orchestra, followed by the first pitch with the Allen County Abilities Baseball League. Other programs will be set up at the club table for visitors to see the contribution the club makes to Lima area youth, including the flagship program of Safety City.
