Defendants sentenced in Allen County courtrooms


LIMA — The following individuals were sentenced recently in Allen County Common Pleas Court:

Brandon Jones, 33, of Lima, was sentenced to three years on probation on a charge of trespass in a habitation.

Tyler Paxson, 24, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, was sentenced to six additional months in prison on a charge of forgery.

John Russell, 45, of Lima, was sentenced to three years in prison on charges of domestic violence and attempted abduction.

Trevor Smelcer, 22, of Lima, was sentenced to two years on probation and fined $750 on charges of failure to comply with the order of a police officer and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He must perform 20 hours of community service. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.

James Stephens, 28, of Lima, was sentenced to three years on probation and 90 days in the county jail on two counts of breaking and entering.

Jeffrey Paxton, 36, of Lima, was sentenced to eight months in prison on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Jordan Hawthorne, 22, of Lima, was sentenced to two years on probation for obstructing official business.

Joselyn McClellan, 39, of Lima, was sentenced to two years on probation for obstructing official business.

Mariana Smith, 28, of Lima, was sentenced to three years on probation with a referral to the WORTH Center on charges of harassment with a bodily substance and tampering with evidence.

Nicholas Lawrence, 31, of Harrod, was sentenced to two years on probation and 120 days in the county jail on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
