Road construction and maintenance projects


Ohio Department of Transportation Districts 1 and 7



ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 southbound between state Route 696 and Napoleon Road, Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 65 between Fourth Street and Elm Street, within the city of Lima, will be restricted to one lane of through traffic in each direction through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 65 between the village of Cairo and the Putnam County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for the removal of raised pavement markers. The work is being done in preparation for a chip seal project. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 65 between Breese Road and Hume Road, south of Lima, is now open following a culvert replacement.

State Route 81 between Conant Road and Defiance Trail, west of Lima, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 117 between Greely Chapel Road and Bowman Road, Lima, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. The project also includes replacement of curbs, catch basins and crossover drainage pipes. Work is expected to continue through early June. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

State Route 309 between the Allen County Fairgrounds and the Hardin County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing beginning Monday, June 3. The project also includes drainage work near the Allen County Fairgrounds. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

Third Street over Flat Fork Creek, between Douglas Street and Scott Street within the city of Delphos, closed May 13 for approximately two months for a bridge replacement project. Traffic is detoured onto Scott Street, Second Street, and Douglas Street back to Third Street. The project also includes the replacement of the First Street and Seventh Street bridges over Flat Fork Creek. It is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Delphos. This project is being performed by The Eclipse Company, Chagrin Falls.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

State Route 29 between Moulton Angle Road and Southland Road, Daily lane closures May 20th-June 7th between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

State Route 66 between state Route 274 and Greenville Road, Daily lane closures May 7th-June 28th between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction using flaggers.

Interstate 75 between state Route 219 and U.S. 33, Nightly lane closures April 14th-May 31st between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

State Route 219 between Hardin Pike and County Road 25A, road closed June 10th-15th. The official detour is state Route 29 to state Route 274 to Interstate 75.

PUTNAM COUNTY

The following highway construction is scheduled to occur within Putnam County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.

State Route 114 between U.S. 224 and Road M, within the village of Kalida, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing through late July. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 115 between the Allen County line and state Route 12 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

U.S. 224 (Third Street) near state Route 66 (Wayne Street), within the village of Ottoville, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

U.S. 224 between the Van Wert County line and the eastern corporation limit of Kalida, excluding the village of Ottoville, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing through late July. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

U.S. 224/state Route 15 (Main Street) near Pratt Street, east of state Route 65 (Elm Street) within the village of Ottawa, will close Monday, June 3, for approximately five days for a water line installation project. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 65, state Route 12 and state Route 235 back to U.S. 224. Work is being performed by the village of Ottawa. (see map)

SHELBY COUNTY

State Route 274 between Sidney-Freyburg Road and Wones Road, Daily lane closures May 18th-June 21st between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

State Route 47 between Clear Street and Walnut Street, Daily lane closures May 20th-June 7th between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Interstate 75 between county Road 25A (Piqua) and state Route 219, Nightly lane closures April 14th-May 31st between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

State Route 119 between Brookside and First Street, road closed, May 28th-June 1st. The official detour is state Route 29 to Interstate 75.

State Route 274 between Wenger Road and county Road 25A, road closed June 3rd-8th. The official detour is state Route 29 to state Route 119 to Interstate 75.

VAN WERT COUNTY

The following highway construction is scheduled to occur within Van Wert County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.

State Route 81 between county Road 103 (Mendon Road) and Thomas Road, west of the village of Elgin, closed May 6 for approximately 45 days for the replacement of twin culvert structures. The project also includes additional drainage work on each side of the roadway. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 127, state Route 709 and state Route 116 back to state Route 81. Work is being performed by VTF Excavation, Celina.

Jefferson Street over Town Creek, between Main Street and Crawford Street within the city of Van Wert, will close in mid-June for approximately three weeks for a bridge replacement. A specific closure date will be forthcoming. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Crawford Street, Shannon Street and Main Street back to Jefferson Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Central Avenue, Washington Street and Crawford Street back to Jefferson Street. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation on behalf of the city of Van Wert. Work is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney.
