Fighter jets training across northwest Ohio

SWANTON — If you hear some jets overhead, don’t be alarmed. The 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard will be conducting increased training flights, both daytime and nighttime, throughout this week as part of an operational readiness training exercise.

Training flights normally take place during daylight hours, but F-16 pilots and maintenance personnel are required to conduct enhanced training operations as part of their overall mission readiness requirements.
